Outlook Shade-a-Babe, Buggy Sun Mesh - A protective mesh fitting most single or double pushchairs, offering up to 90% reduction of UV, whilst protecting from flying insects, wind and light rain, and of course curious cats.
The Shade-a-Babe is a multi-functional piece of baby equipment, the versatile mesh to the front will offer protection to baby from the sun, flying insects and from the advances of cats, allowing you to let baby to take a nap peacefully in the garden.
Sun Protection
The Shade-a-Babe offers three levels of protection; this should be used with good quality clothing and a sun protection cream to ensure total protection from the effects of the sun. The glare shield to the top of the Shade-a-Babe will reduce the UV passing through by 90%, when folded back as a canopy the U.V. protection is 99%. The mesh at the front offers 70% protection so once again will need to used in conjunction with other sun protection clothing or sun cream. The mesh is of a dark weave stopping the sun going into the pram or buggy but the child on the inside can see clearly through it.
The new collection has a front zip to allow easy access to baby or toddler without the need to remove the whole sunshield.
Cat Net
The mesh of the Shade-a-Babe is sufficiently wide that cats do not like standing on it - their toes go through the mesh making them feel insecure and so should not be a danger to baby while in their pram.
Insect Net
The mesh has fine threads woven into the fabric this will prevent most insects from flying into the pram or buggy, allowing baby to sleep undisturbed by flies or other summer insects.
Wind Shield
The Shade-a-Babe will also protect (to a degree) the child from blustery wind, stopping sand and grit from getting into the child's face and eyes, the wind can cause skin irritation so on overcast days it is sometimes worth putting the Shade-a-Babe on the pram or buggy.
The Shade-a-Babe will offer some protection from light summer showers, without causing overheating as with conventional rain covers, especially on holiday in humid conditions.
