The Energy Pro has been designed and produced by Kiddy, a German company whose car seats are very highly regarded in terms of safety and innovative design. This new seat, the Energy Pro child car seat, combines excellent safety features, with an attractive and easy to use design. The Group 1 seat is suitable for children aged 9 months (9 kg) to 4 years (approx 18 kg).

The Kiddy Guardian Pro and the Kiddy Cruiserfix Pro have achieved first place in safety tests in the European Child Car Seat Test 2011.

In addition, the Kiddy Energy Pro, Guardian Pro, Guardian Pro 2, Cruiser Pro and Cruiserfix Pro, have won exceptional praise from leading German testers AGR for their outstanding ergonimic design, protecting and supporting the child's spine during travelling. 

Tested and Praised

The Energy Pro child car seat has won glowing praise from Which? magazine. It also praised the seat for being lightweight, easy to fit, with excellent padding, leg and head support.

Ease of fitting was highly commended, making this an ideal seat to fit in restricted positions in some 3-door cars. All in all, what we have seen makes us think that these seats are going to become firm favourites with British parents.

Airline Approved

Kiddy car seats are now approved to be used on airlines; this will allow parents to offer the best security and comfort to children while on aircraft. It is important to inform the airline before taking the seat to the airport that you intend to use the child car seat. If your child is under 2 years they may not be allocated a seat so the car seat can not be used.

This also allows you to safely transport your seat to your holiday destination, preventing the need to hire an inferior seat for use in hire cars abroad.

Energy Pro Impact Cushion:

The Energy Pro child car seat is 1 of only 2 seats in this age class that has an impact cushion across the child's upper body. This spreads the force of any impact across the whole upper body, thus reducing severe injury to the cervical vertebra. This is thought to offer superior levels of safety for your child compared with a five point safety harness which puts a heavy strain on this area of the body as a child's head is very heavy compared to the rest of the body.

Kiddy Nest Honey Comb Fabric:

The impact cushion is made from so-called 'Honey Comb' material. This is a new type of shock-absorbing insulation material for the head and shoulders areas, which is based on the principle of a bee's honey comb. It is particularly effective in a side impact crash and in tests has obtained much better results than other child car seats.

Energy Pro Seat body:

The child seat body is made using highly energy-absorbing EPP (Expanded Poly Propylene), adding to the safety of the child in the seat. This is a lightweight material, which means the seat is easy to handle, and easy to fit. (Clear fitting instructions are included.)

Energy Pro differs from the Infinity Pro with extended side impact protection, a larger head area and the ability to support the younger childs feet.

Seat fabric care:

The Energy Pro child seats can be wiped clean with a damp cloth, or put into a washing machine at 30 degrees

Breathable Thermotex fabric is used on the areas where a child is likely to sweat adding to their overall comfort.

Fitting:

The Infinity Pro is secured into the main car seat using the car's 3-point seat belt. The belt is fed across the front of the impact cushion but not over the child's shoulder. (9kg) to approx 4 years (18kg).
