New Season Vegetable Medley
New season vegetables are mild in flavour because of their high water content which reduces when they are stored over the Winter.
Peel and dice/shred a selection of summer roots - turnip, beetroot, carrots, potatoes and steam for 10 minutes.
Take out some for your baby and mash with breastmilk or formula.
For the adults and older children, add 1tbsp of balsamic vinegar and 1 tbsp of sugar to a pan with 50g of butter or a splash of olive oil.
Add the vegetables and cook for 2 minutes uncovered until the liquid has evaporated.
Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve alongside lamb or pork.
