Broad Beans in Parsley Sauce
Removing the beans from the pods is a job that toddlers love to join in with.
Steam the beans for 6 mins and leave to cool.
Removing the outer skins from the beans is easier when they are still warm and the bright green beans that you are left with are sweeter and more easily digested.
Put some beans aside to puree for young babies.
Make a white sauce - 20g butter, 20g plain flour, 200ml milk and add some chopped parsley.
Pour the sauce over the beans.
For younger babies add some baby rice to their bean puree or mix in some of the parsley sauce for older babies.
