Baby Car Seat For Maclaren XLR Buggy
Car seat to transform the XLR Maclaren buggy into a convenient travel system, the seat is supplied complete with the brackets required to fit the seat quickly and easily to the buggy.
The Maclaren XLR baby car seat is fitted into the car rearward facing, this is the only way that baby can safely travel by car. The shell of the Maclaren XLR has been designed to give optimum protection to baby while being light weight and comfortable for the adult to carry.
The seating position changes as baby grows from a reclined almost flat position for the newborn baby, to an upright position for the older baby, the backrest is adjustable to beyond the outer shell, making it possible to keep baby in the Maclaren XLR to around 15 months or to a maximum weight of 13 kgs. As the backrest is adjusted the 5-point harness is also automatically height adjusts, the harness has comfortable padding on the chest and can be tightened for a correct fit on each journey by the one-pull strap on the front of the seat. A removable sun canopy is fitted to protect from street lighting or the sun, the edges are finished with a reflective material for added safety.
The seat is fitted to the car using the 3-point adult seat belt, or can be placed on the optional Isofix base made by Recaro. The seat belt routings are clearly marked and the belt is locked in position for added safety.
The seat covers can be machine washed at 30 degrees, but the seat must never be used without a cover.
The Maclaren XLR can be fitted on to the Recaro Isofix Base, this can be purchased separately. This allows the seat to be fitted quickly and easily in the car for every journey. Attaching the base to the Isofix fittings in your car is simple with clear indicators when it is secure. The Maclaren XLR baby seat is then dropped into position without the need of seat belts. When baby grows out of the baby seat the base can be reused with the Recaro Young Expert Plus stage 1 seat.
