Comfortable Supportive Baby Carrier
Comfortable and fully supportive baby carrier designed by a mother in association with osteopaths and recommended by physiotherapists, chiropractors and other parents.
Comfortable for Carrier and Passenger
When using the Wilkinet the weight of baby or toddler is evenly distributed, the unique method of tying the straps around the adult’s waist avoids strain on the neck, shoulders and back.
Baby is carried in a natural sitting position much closer to the parent than other baby carriers. The straps under the thighs and bottom are well padded and relive pressure on their pelvic floor. Once baby is able to support their own head baby can be placed in the Wilkinet facing forwards, this can be on the parents front, hip or back with each position equally comfortable for both parent and baby.
Easy Fit
The Wilkinet has no clips or buckles for the parent to master; the simple tie design allows the sling to work like a wrap without the need for swathes of fabric.
The whole baby carrier, being made from soft durable fabric, is designed to be washed regularly and as the Wilkinet is so comfortable for both baby and parent you may find it in constant use.
Best Fit
The Wilkinet should be worn low on the waist, just below the top of the hip bones and will offer support to the sacroiliac joints. It is the ligaments that hold these joints together that become relaxed during pregnancy to allow the baby’s head to pass through the birth canal. It is the looseness of these ligaments that cause back pain during and after pregnancy, when using the Wilkinet these joints are pulled together and supported helping to relive the pain and aid the recovery of the mother.
