Along with the cot, the wardrobe and chest of drawers will be invaluable pieces of furniture - your child's collection of outfits, shoes, jackets and Grobags just seem to go on growing and for some reason either they, or you, never want to pass on those special items, they all need storage space.
When choosing a chest it may well be that it doubles up as the changing unit for those first couple of years, so check the height is comfortable for you. Adjustable Wardrobes
