UV Protection with Floatation Pads
The range of Second Skins from Nscessity has been produced in South Africa to the highest UV protection standards. When the child is at the beach or just playing in the garden they can be exposed to dangerous rays even on cloudy days, so it is important to protect the delicate skin. The all in one suits can be purchased with or without the floatation pads, this is the style with the pads fitted, although they can easily be removed if the child is not playing close to water.
The suit has a zip fitting to the back with a long ‘grab strap’ like the ones found on wet suits making it possible for the child to dress and undress independently. The fabric has been tested Cansa (The Cancer Association of South Africa) and has been given an excellent rating this means that it will protect the skin from more than 98% of harmful solar ultraviolet radiation. This rating applies when the fabric is dry and new, so it is important to take care of the fabric to ensure constant protection. The fabric is designed to dry very quickly to ensure the reduction of protection is kept to a minimum.
The floatation pads have been designed to hold the child in a slightly forward tilted position this is ideal when learning to swim, each pad can be removed separately as the child gains confidence in the water.
The Second Skin Floatation suits are available in a range of sizes to fit from 2 years to around 5 years, with a choice of colours.
