Parasols offer limited protection from the sun as it is difficult to ensure the baby or child stays in the shade of the parasol as you walk along in different directions, but are better than nothing. The new U.V. protected parasols offer much better protection than the regular parasol, but the child will need to wear good quality clothing (thin cotton t shirts offer little protection) and a sun block or sun filter cream.
The U.V. parasol can be used on most pushchairs and buggies with the only exception being very large oval frames and the Loola pushchair.
The clamp can be fitted ensuring that the buggy will still fold with it in place and when the parasol is needed it can easily be clipped into place, eliminating the need to constantly tighten the clamp. The clamp will allow you to make adjustments to the angle of the shade while the spring will keep the parasol out of the child’s face should you walk into an object or person.
