Safe Child's Learning Device
Padded support harness, suitable for babies learning to walk, children learning new skills and great for disabled children with balance problems, helping build confidence.
This harness allows parents to help baby take those first steps, help an older child learn to skate or roller blade, help with balancing while learning to ride a bicycle on 2 wheels or take a hike over rough terrain without the worry of the child falling. This simple but effective device, fully endorsed by doctors, is placed around the child. The clip is then adjusted to keep the child secure and the parent can then take the handle helping to support the child while the new balancing skill is learned. The harness will promote the child’s self confidence, balance, co-ordination and motor skills all while being safely supported.
The Walk-O-Long is useful from the first tentative steps at around 10 months to a year, right though to 4 or 5 years when roller blades or ice skating are the latest must do skill, the sort of activities that makes parents hold their breath as those first attempts are made.
Children with special needs can sometimes be given the chance to greater independence helping them to develop the skills to balance and co-ordinate muscles. The harness will give the child the confidence required for walking. It is possible for the adult to take much of the child’s weight on the harness without causing pain to the child as the harness is well padded.
While using The Walk-O-Long the parent or grandparent will not need to constantly bend over, saving on back and elbow pain.
