Cot Toys & Mobiles

You will find an amazing range of cot toys available at Oliver's Babycare and the good thing about cot toys is you can't have too many!

Ideally you should change the toys in the cot every couple of days as this will give your baby a constant change of stimulation.

The first cot toys need to feature red, white and black in bold symmetrical patterns as these are the first colours that babies are able to focus on. After the first few weeks baby will be able to focus better and will gradually be able to see more in the way of colours and shapes.

Cot Mirrors & Photo Frames

Cot mirrors (don't use a normal adult's mirror) and photo holders will mean a 'familiar' face is always the first thing baby sees on waking, this will generally make baby feel safe and secure, staying calm until you are ready to see to them. Getting baby used to staying in the cot when awake is a good and useful habit, as light mornings could see a youngster ready to get up at 4.30!! But don't make the cot a 'prison'.
