Quiet 2-phase breast pump from Medela
The Medela Swing breast pump is small, lightweight and quiet when in use, and is perfect for the collection of breast milk for times when the mother is to be away from baby or to relive engorgement.
The 2 phase expression will mimic the way baby feeds at the breast, to start with baby sucks lightly and fast to start the flow of milk, once the “let down” has happened baby then sucks deeper and slower to get as much milk as possible, quickly. The Swing is able to replicate this changing from the rapid rhythm to a slower rhythm for gentle and efficient expression; this can be easily adjusted to a comfortable level.
The Swing is a small discreet unit that can be attached to your belt or hung on a cord, allowing you to move around while expressing, the Softfit beast shield is comfortable against the breast gently massaging as the milk is expressed, only a small number of parts come into contact with the milk so cleaning is kept to a minimum.
The milk can be pumped into the milk storage bottles or directly into the Medela storage bags, both of these can be refrigerated or frozen, making this a quick and efficient way of expressing and storing breast milk.
The unit can be powered by battery or with the mains adapter supplied, and any spare or extra parts required can be purchased separately. Simple to carry with you while out, coming complete with drawstring carry bag.
