Booster Seat With 5-Point Harness
The new Starlight SP from STM Germany is an excellent seat it is easily adjusted as the child grows or between different children fitting from the minimum weight of 9kgs (before this weight is achieved baby must travel rearward facing) adapting and changing through to a child up to 150cm or 12 years.
When raising the back rest the harness is automatically adjusted, the harness is used to protect the child to 18kgs although the seat can be used without a harness for children from 15kgs. The seat has a recline feature this tilts the bottom forwards providing sufficient recline to keep baby or older child comfortable when sleeping on a long journey. The Starlight provides excellent side impact protection, protection the hips, shoulders, neck and head.
Fitting
The seat is fitted using the cars adult 3-point seat belt, the seat belts follow the red guides these take the seat belts behind the child when using the 5-point child’s harness in the seat, the adult belt is then ‘locked off’ to give a rigid secure fit. The starlight SP requires the seat belts in the car to be of the short style securing into the vehicle seat cushion, preventing the clasp from coming into contact with the Starlight frame, if you are unsure please e-mail info@olivers-baby-care.co.uk for fitting advise.
When the Starlight is used without the 5-point harness, the routing is over the seat and the child’s body this is no longer a rigid fit simply a booster seat with a back. The weight of the seat and the child will lock the adult seat belt protecting the child from injury.
