When looking at travel cots the thing that may need to be considered is where you intend to use it the most, if you are planning to use it abroad and you intending to fly you will need to think of weight, many airlines now weigh all luggage, so it is worth checking the weights of travel cots before you purchase. Some travel cots fold easier than others, so if is to be assembled by a grandparent on a regular basis it maybe worth choosing a slightly bulkier style with an easier folding action.

Travel cots are also available in pop-up styles. These come in a range of sizes designed to take a newborn to around six months then another from six months. Pop up cots are ideal for trips to the beach or out on picnics, some also have optional U.V. protection covers to zip in.
