Sleigh Cotbed / Sofa
Elegantly styled cotbed suitable for a little prince or princess and useful as a sofa long after its life as a bed. This is a fabulous child's bed in a league of its own. The outstanding quality of Boori craftsmanship is displayed at its best on this Sleigh cotbed which is based on a traditional French design.
The drawer is an integral part of this bed adding to the elegant solid lines. The mattress base has two heights to make it easier on your back to reach in and lift your young baby in and out. The base is used on the lower setting when baby can sit or pull himself up.
The drop side has a clever single handed SafeTrack action. This is lifted with one hand, your leg is then pressed against the bottom of the side to allow it to drop down towards the floor, giving easy access to baby. The solid end panels will allow you to sleep baby in the health visitor recommended feet to foot position.
Cotbed
Once baby is attempting to climb out of the cot it is time to remove the sides and turn the Sleigh cot into a Sleigh bed. This can be used with the mattress remaining in the lowest position for easy access for your toddler, and then can be moved to the higher position as baby grows taller. The side bars (supplied) are fitted to help keep baby in place during the night. These can be moved to a flat position when no longer required - this way you can sit easily on the bed at story time.
Sofa
The sleigh spends the rest of its life as a comfortable solid ended sofa ideal for snuggling up at story time. You will need to invest in a few cushions for the backrest, but you will certainly have a stunning piece of furniture.
The timber used by Boori is fine grain Queensland managed plantation Araucaria, and is available in a full range of wood finishes to coordinate with your home. The coatings are totally non toxic and meet the standard BS EN 713:1994.
The meticulous craftsmanship means that you will not find any glue or staples on this Sleigh bed. All the joints are dovetail joinery. This is furniture built to last, and has been independently tested by a certified laboratory to ensure it meets and exceeds, where possible, all relevant British, European and international standards. Delivery
Delivery will be free of charge if ordered with another piece of Boori furniture. If ordered alone a £40.00 delivery charge will be added.
Mattress
The cot is not supplied with a mattress, but a top-of-the range Rochingham mattress made to measure is available separately.(This is not classed as a second item of furniture.)
