3 Wheel Adaptable Pushchair
The Jane Slalom Pro has changed and evolved over several years and now offers the versatility that was expected in the early days of its older brother the Powertrack.
It is happy to trundle through the woods or across the beach at weekends, but with the new easier to release wheels it can be cleaned and made presentable for an early morning trip to town.
The Slalom Pro can be purchased as just a pushchair or with an optional car seat, lie flat cat seat/car cot or with a large comfortable carrycot/car cot. It is supplied for the 2008 season complete with co-ordinating changing bag, raincover, tyre pump and 100% cotton seat liner.
Slalom Pro Chassis
The chassis is made from lightweight Aluminium in an oval shape, its weight without the wheels is just 8kgs. The wheels have a quick release system and aluminum look, low profile pneumatic tyres and a compact pump is found in the shopping basket. Adjustable suspension on the rear wheels will ensure baby has a comfortable ride whatever the terrain. The 273mm diameter wheels have a simple quick release to make the fold very compact. On the front easy steer mono fork wheel you will find a powerful disc brake correcting your speed while travelling downhill, this is controlled by a handle brake lever, the main parking brakes are applied with a single foot pedal. The front wheel can be used as a swivel wheel while in town but if you wish to travel over sand or gravel it can easily be locked into a fixed position.
Under the chassis you will find a small shopping basket with reflective accents for additional safety on winter evenings.
The handle has 4 adjustments to suit most people comfortably, and the clips to release the chassis for folding are found as the handle bar meets the hood, saving unnecessary bending.
Pro System
The new Pro system is the way that any additional parts are fixed to the chassis, when the bumper bar is removed from the chassis it reveals two large holes that allows the simple one-handed fitting and locking into place of the Jane Capazo Carrycot, Strata car seat, or the Matrix Cup lie flat car seat. These can be purchased at the same time as the Slalom or purchased separately as your needs change.
Slalom Pro Seat unit
The seat unit can be fully reclined for a newborn and the footplate can be adjusted to a comfortable position for baby or toddler. A full 5point harness and a bumper bar for your toddler to hang on to while you are travelling at speed. The new winter hood covers more of the child’s body not only good for winter but as a sun shade during the summer, the back panel can be removed to give a constant flow of fresh air while still giving sun protection from above.
All the fabric is removable for washing or if you are using the chassis with the optional carrycot, car seat or matrix seat system, protecting the fabrics until they are required.
The seat is sufficiently wide to accommodate a toddler wearing the thickest of winter clothing and a comfortable 100% cotton seat pad has been included to ensure total comfort.
Pram Bag
The colour co-ordinating pram bag is included with the Slalom for 2008 this has plenty of internal pockets to secure baby feeding and changing items and a comfortable changing mat. The pram bag can be secured to the handle to keep all items close at hand.
Optional Additions
All the items below can be fitted to the Slalom Chassis they are not included but can be purchased with the Slalom as a travel system. For full product details each is covered in its own section. When you add the Strata car seat, Capazo Carrycot or Matrix Cup to the Slalom baby will face the parent.
Strata Car Seat
From birth to 13kgs. It is possible to use this chassis as part of a travel system, the Jane Strata car seat can be fitted directly onto the chassis without the need to remove the fabrics, for short trips
