Cot Bed With FREE Foam Mattress
The Scarborough is a solidly built cotbed from Cosatto without a large price tag, styled with solid end panels and round side dowels.
Light Country Pine finish to this Cosatto cotbed allows it to co-ordinate with most nurseries and bedding collections.
The solid end panels will give the opportunity to sleep baby at the foot of the cot as recommended by many midwives and health visitors in the ‘feet to foot’ position preventing the young baby from wriggling under the bedclothes and possibly overheating.
The mattress base has three height settings to make it possible to easily reach the young baby while on the highest setting, the middle one will be used from around 4 to 6 months then the lowest position will be required to prevent the toddler from falling from the cot. Once the toddler has made attempts to escape it is then time to transform the cotbed into the junior bed.
As a junior bed the mattress base is placed in the lowest position, the bottom section of the foot end is removed to leave a small well proportioned bed for the child, suitable until around 5 years of age. As the size has not changed the mattress and bedding used on the cotbed will continue to fit – the familiar bedding can help with the transition from toddler to ‘big person’.
