PureLan will soothe and help heal dry and sensitive nipples
Made from 100% lanolin the Medela PureLan can be put on to your nipples to help replenish the essential oils that become depleted by the constant feeding of baby. The PureLan can be used as often as you feel is necessary to keep you comfortable, it can be left on the nipple during feeding, helping to soothe sensitive nipples during breast feeding, babies not seem to have any difficulty with the “after-taste”
It is important to remember that any creams or lotions put onto the nipple will be ingested by baby, so should not be used on the nipple area.
By placing a small amount of lanolin on to the nipple after each feed can help maintain the internal moisture preventing ‘nipple trauma’.
The easiest way of applying the PurLan is to pat dry the nipple after a feed take a very small amount of PurLan warm it between your fingers and apply.
