Portable Pressure Pad For Consistant 'Time-Outs'

The founders of Gro-Group, Rob and Ouvrielle Holmes, have developed another wonderful concept. The Time Out Pad allows adults and children to work together to correct unacceptable behaviour by young children.
The Time Out Pad is placed in the best position for the child to be separated for a short time – possibly the bottom stair where they can hear the family but be excluded from the current activity. The Time Out Pad is pressure sensitive and will give a warning to the child and parent if the child leaves the pad.
The variable timer can be set for consistent time outs from 1 minute to 5 minutes. This feature should be used in line with the childcare experts' advice of 1 minute for each year of the child’s age. The unit is tamper proof and has a traffic light system to keep the child informed of the remaining time left.
Red light – Sit tight
Amber light – 1 minute to go
Red light – Time’s up – and the finish tune plays as a reward
Should the child stand-up, the timer will automatically pause and a beep will warn the parent that the child has left the pad. There is also a re-set function which allows parents to start time outs again if the session is interrupted.
The Time Out Pad is fully portable making it possible to ensure consistency when visiting friends and family
Each Time Out Pad is supplied with a booklet showing the ‘five steps to a successful time-out’ along with helpful parenting tips from Ron and Ouvrielle.
