Musical Toys

Musical toys can be used in the cot in the same way as musical mobiles or soft toys - with a musical pull cord, activated by an adult for the newborn, through to musical CD,s that can be played in the nursery.

Soft Pull Cord Toys

These will generally secure to the side of the cot or crib, when activated, usually by pulling a cord, the music begins - the music only plays for a short time and ideal when resettling baby during the night.

Musical Mobiles

These will hang above baby's head in the cot and will allow them to watch the repetitive action, which, teamed with relaxing music they will soon, hopefully, drift off to sleep.

Musical CDs

There is a great range of music available on CD from classical through to sing' a' long. A group of relaxation music, which incorporates 'pink' sound and works on the subconscious brain, relaxing baby (or anyone else who is listening) into sleep.

Heart Beat Sound Toys

The sounds baby has become accustomed to in the womb can be comforting to a baby when newborn. The Sterntaler soft toys are designed with an inbuilt heartbeat sound box to lie with baby in the cot, crib or Moses basket giving reassurance in those first weeks of life. Once your baby no longer needs the heartbeat sound the soft toy remains as a comforter.
