Small Hand-held Electric Breast Pump
As one of the smallest handheld pumps available the Mini Electric offers comfort for expressing at home or on the go.
The Mini Electric Breast Pump is small, easy to handle and will work quickly and efficiently to express excess milk enabling you to get on with other things. The pump can be used with either mains or altentively battery operated, the vacuum soon builds to permit gentle and effective expression, within a safe range.
The pump will function with the same physiological rhythm as a nursing baby, if you can close your eyes and pretend it is your baby, the letdown will soon allow your milk to flow.
The only disadvantage we have found with this pump is the sound - it is not the most discreet! If you were planning to regularly express we would recommend that you look at the Medela Swing Breast Pump, as this is much quieter and more adjustable than the Mini Electric.
If you are buying a pump to enable the feeding of a difficult or small baby (or just in case of) this would be the perfect pump to choose, even if not required to start with, it will enable you to store milk in case you have to be separated from baby at some point. The milk can be stored in the deep freeze for up to 1 year.
The milk can be expressed and stored and fed to baby using the bottle supplied with the pump, but if you wish to store larger quantities of milk the Medela Breastmilk bags will attach directly onto the pump. These bags have a standup base and an easy to use zip closure and come pre sterilised, ideal for use while at work or away from home, these bags can the be dated and refrigerated or frozen.
