This car seat base from Spanish company Jane uses the latest new technology to take car seat safety standards to a new level. Jane is leading the way in seat safety, and has the most advanced car seat testing facility of its kind in Europe.
Jane has developed this new platform base for use with it's new Strata stage 0+ car seat. The base attaches either to the Isofix fittings or can be secured with the 3 point seat belt in the rear seat of your car. The Strata baby car seat then simply clips firmly onto the top of the base.
Should you not have Isofix fittings in your car it is perfectly safe to use the new Strata platform base secured into your car using the adult 3 point safety belt making this base versatile enough to be used in almost any car.
The Clever Bit
The Strata base operates using a revolutionary patented Pneumatic Absorption System. Buried inside the molding of the base is a special gas cylinder which, during an accident, operates to produce flexibility within the seat rather than total rigidity which provides far greater safety for your child. The base absorbs part of the impact of the accident, meaning that less of the impact is absorbed by your child. The G-forces on your child are thus much lower than on a normal car seat arrangement.

Another excellent feature of this car seat base is its visual and audible Electronic Warning System - another world first for Jane. This system detects whether the seat has located safely and securely onto the Isofix fittings in the car, just press a button at the start of each journey to check that the fitting is still fine.
