It is now the law to ensure that any child under 135cm (4’5”) or younger than 12 years must travel in an appropriate car seat.
The Horizon booster seat is suitable for children from15kg to 36kg this is around 4 years to 12 years. The seat belt is placed over the child whilst sitting on the booster seat; the belt should sit without twists, low on the pelvis, with the routing going under both arms of the Horizon booster. The diagonal belt then should be fed through the red guide clip (this will be behind the child), this is then simply pulled to the correct height adjustment until the guide is sitting on the child’s shoulder.
The booster seat will not offer any protection from side impacts, and if it is possible the child should be placed on a booster seat with a fitted backrest.
The Horizon Booster has a slim design enabling it to be used with sculptured seats the full cover can be removed for washing.
No booster seat is recommended for use when a passenger air bag is fitted, unless the car manufacturer confirms it is safe to do so.
