Support For Newborn Baby
Adding a head hugger to the car seat of your newborn will help to keep baby’s head central and supported
This head hugger can be used in any car seat or buggy to help support the head of your newborn baby, the padding will help to keep the head central stopping baby from sliding to one side. The head hugger is secured with the shoulder straps fitting through from the back of the hugger. The head hugger should be removed when baby has head control to encourage them to develop the neck mussels; this is around 4 to 6 months.
The hugger is machine washable and will help to protect the car seat fabric in the early days.
The head hugger is available in navy, black and grey.
If your baby is very small or is being placed into a forward facing pushchair, Bettacare also produce a Tiny Traveller this is a head hugger but with additional support and protection coming up between baby’s legs with padding coming around the body, securing with Velcro fastenings. This holds baby firmly in place eliminating the risk of baby placing both legs in one side of the harness, which could lead to sliding out of the pushchair completely.
If you still find baby’s head is falling forward while travelling in the car a Sunshine Kids Car Seat Leveller may be the answer, this changes the angle that the infant carrier sits on the vehicle seat.
