G Force Reducing Isofix Car Seat
The world's first child car seat with ‘PAS’, a Pneumatic Absorption System helping to reduce the G forces on your child’s body.
For the very latest in child car safety, Jane have produced the Exo Stage 1 child Isofix car seat, to ensure the very best protection is offered to your child.
Isofix Fittings
Isofix fittings allow the child car seat to be securely attached to the chassis of the car, the 2 extendable bayonets on the back of the seat ‘lock on’ to a pair of metal brackets mounted in the car. These fittings eliminate errors when fitting a child seat using seat belts - confusing seat belt routings, or poor compatibility of your chosen seat with your vehicle.
The disadvantage of standard car seats using Isofix fittings is that all the G force of an impact is taken on the child’s body. When fitting a child seat with seat belts the webbing stretches allowing the seat and child to slow more gently.
Exo Isofix
The new Exo car seat addresses this problem with its unique ‘PAS’- Pneumatic Absorption System. This allows the seat to move forward in a controlled way absorbing the impact, reducing the G force on the child’s body.
Fitting
The Exo car seat is classified as ‘Universal’ making it possible to fit the seat to all cars without exception to the Isofix fittings; it has an anti rotational top tether (your vehicle hand book will inform you if your car requires you to use it).
When the Isofix fittings are correctly located an electronic visual and audible system will reassure you that it is secure. This has a test button allowing you to check the fitting regularly for peace of mind.
To remove the seat from the car a pair of buttons have been mounted on the front of the seat making removal simple and ‘pain free’ unlike the majority of Isofix fittings.
The Exo car seat can also be fitted into non-Isofix cars using the adult 3 point seat belts, following the seat belt routings. It is necessary to check compatibility as with all child seats fitted using seat belts.
Harness
The Exo also has a new harness system, with the automatic height-adjustable shoulder straps altering with the headrest as your child grows. The crutch strap also changes position offering a deeper seating space as the headrest rises. The harness can be easily adjusted with a simple flowing ‘single pull’ adjustment for each journey.
5 recline positions will ensure a comfortable sleeping position can be achieved for baby from 9kg, around 1 year, right through to 18kg around 4 years.
The whole seat has been fitted with comfortable and shock absorbing material even at the point where a child’s legs rest - where many only place this material around the head area.
The Exo is well ventilated with air flow intakes to reduce the chance of the child becoming overheated while using the seat.
All in all we have a true child safety seat for the 21st Century.
