When sat on a basic booster seat during a side impact there is nothing to stop them being thrown out of the diagonal belt hitting the window or other passengers. The Evolva 2-3 will keep the upper body safe and secure with the large rounded headrests and shoulder protection, the headrests have been padded to absorb the impact as well as to be comfortable for a sleeping child.
This Evolva 2-3 Isofit can be used in two possible ways - with the normal 3-point adult seat belt across both the seat and the child, but if your car is fitted with Isofix fittings the seat will stay anchored firmly to the chassis of your car, the car's seat belt passes across the child's shoulder in the normal way. The Isofix option does add a little more stability to the seat during any impact and additionally, should the child not be sat in the seat it will stop that seat becoming dangerous to people in the car - keeping it safely in place during heavy braking.
When used on the Isofix fittings the seat can be used in a reclined position adding to the comfort for the child during longer journeys.
The height of the Evolva's headrest can easily be adjusted between children or as the child grows, this also adjusts the angle and height of the seat belt guides helping to ensure that it is correctly positioned for every trip. The shape of the booster also ensures the lap belt is positioned low across the pelvis as is recommended to protect the internal organs of the growing child. The belt path has been made to be accessible, even for those who are using the seat in a 3 door car.
Comfi-Cool breathable fabric has been used in the cover and it has been padded with a Comfi-Flex open cell foam to ensure the child is always comfortable. The seat cover is removable and is machine washable at a low temperature.
