Isofix Stage 1 Car Seat
The Britax Duo Plus is compatible with a large number of vehicles and is one of the easiest Isofix car seats to fit.
The Duo Plus provides excellent all round protection, the seat is easily fitted to the Isofix fittings in the vehicle with it’s patented pivoting link, the seat has been padded with comfortable energy absorbing fabrics that will also help to keep the child cool and comfortable.
Isofix Fitting
The Isofix fitting are now becoming more common in new cars although they are often an option at the time of purchase, they cannot be retro fitted - so it is important to check in the car before purchasing an Isofix seat.
The Isofix fitting on the Duo Plus will form a direct link with the chassis of the car, this will mean that the child seat will start to brake when the car brakes are applied, when a seat is fitted using seat belts there is a very short delay while the seat belts ‘lock-off’.

Should any of the vehicles not be approved or not have Isofix fittings the seat can be fitted using the adult 3-point seat belt. For some cars it is necessary to use a ‘top tether’ if this is the case this can be purchased separately, the Duo Plus has been approved as universal for all cars fitted with a ‘top tether’ point.
The unique Britax ‘pivot link’ on the Duo Plus car seat not only makes fitting the seat much easier, with a much lower chance of the seat being ‘miss fitted’ it also reduces the movement of your child within the seat in the event of an accident.

The Seat
The seat of the Duo Plus has deep softly padded side wings to give optimum protection to the child during any side impact, the 5-point harness has been padded to protect the delicate internal organs, while remaining soft and comfortable against the child’s neck and face while sleeping. The harness has a simple, one-pull tightening system ensuring a comfortable fit for every journey, when open the harness can be tucked away under special elastic strips this will make putting the child in the seat for the next outing easy.
The Duo Plus harness has the Britax Adjusta-Fit system this will allow the harness and headrest to move together easily to the next height position as the child grows, without the need to undo the safety harness.
The fabrics used for the 2007 collection are from the Combi-Flex system, which uses layers of soft touch fabric lined with flexible wadding and open cell foam to ensure the toddler or child remain comfortable even when no longer wearing nappies. When teamed up with the Comfi-Cool system the top fabric that has a soft breathable mesh to create ultra dry, cool comfortable seating.
The seat has been fitted with an easy to use recline system that gives the child a choice of 3 reclined positions.
