Footmuffs & Pram Spares

A footmuff or cosi-toes is an essential item in the UK during the winter, it makes sure that your baby stays warm and snug. Footmuffs are a universal fit, meaning that you can choose a footmuff from any range and it will fit your pram or buggy. When the baby is forward facing in the pushchair, buggy or 3 wheeler wind and cold air is constantly being pushed into their face a good footmuff will protect your child from that cold perfectly, with just a pair of eyes peering out of the top.

Be aware that young babies are not able to regulate their body temperature and may not show outward signs that they are cold.

Harness Adjustment

When you add a footmuff to your buggy or pushchair it is secured by the five-point harness, this keeps the footmuff in place allowing you to fold the buggy without the footmuff falling off. Some footmuffs like the Red Castle Sport range will also allow you to adjust the harness making it small enough for the new born baby - bringing the crotch strap up into a higher position making baby much safer.

Most footmuffs can be zipped apart, this gives you a chance to use the fitted back section as a seat liner during the spring and summer, this can save the seat fabric of your buggy during ice cream season! Also giving padding and a soft lining for bare little legs to rest on.

Fabrics

The range of fabrics used for footmuffs range from lightweight fleece to Teflon coated cotton, (helping protect from stains and giving a waterproofing element) and pure luxurious sheepskin - warm in winter and a great dissipater of heat in the summer.
