A sleeping bag will not be kicked off during the night, causing baby to wake from the cold, the sleeping bag is designed to be used with a combination of layers of clothing to get exactly the right levels of comfort. Once baby has become accustomed to the sleeping bag you will find that they settle quickly to sleep, as their movement is restricted, their temperature stays more constant and they feel secure.
