Wooden Cotbed
The cotbed has been designed with solid ends this gives the opportunity to sleep baby ‘feet to foot’ as recommended by many midwives and health visitors, without the need of additional bumpers to prevent feet from protruding through the bars. To one side is a simple drop side making placing the sleeping baby into the cot very easy and assisting in the changing of linen when the mattress is in the lower position used by the toddler. Teething rails have been fitted to prevent the wood from becoming marked during teething. The mattress base can be fitted in a choice of three positions, the highest being for the young baby before they start moving around, with the lower positions becoming essential as the child starts to crawl or stand.
When the child grows out of the cot, the sides can be removed to leave a junior bed this can continue to be used with the child’s familiar bedding until around the age of 6 years.
The mattress recommended size is 140cm x 70cm this mattress continues to be used when the cotbed is transformed into the junior bed.
We have a full range of mattresses available separately and would recommend a fibre or sprung mattress for use with a cotbed.
Nursery Wardrobe
The wardrobe has a single door style with plenty of hanging space with a convenient drawer to the bottom perfect for shoes or bedding. The style of the door will co-ordinate perfectly with the cot bed with the cream panels surrounded with natural pine. The top has a styling to compliment the cotbed, changing unit and the small wall shelf, all of which are included with this set.
Dresser/Changer Unit
The collection also includes a three tier changer; this has the same styling to the raised back panel bringing the collection perfectly together. The changer unit has two open shelves below perfect for nappies and other essential baby changing items, these shelves can later be used for books and other baby toys, helping to keep the floor clear. The top is sized to accept a standard changing mat allowing you to co-ordinate the furniture with the bedding on the cotbed.
The dresser/changing unit is 85cm x 52cm deep x 103cm high
Wall Shelf
To complete the nursery this collection includes a decorative wall shelf complete with hanging pegs, perfect for laundry bags and baby dressing gown. The shelf will be assembled for you but will not be mounted on the wall, as the fixings required vary from home to home.
