White nursery furniture with a tongue and grove style finish to the end panels and wardrobe door. This collection can be purchased with the co-ordinating crib (4 piece) or without the crib as a 3 piece set.
Wardrobe
The wardrobe in the Devon collection has open display shelves to one side and a door to the other offering plenty of hanging space. The Devon wardrobe is 93cm wide 50cm deep and 193cm high and is perfect for the storage of baby clothing adapting to accommodate outfits as they get bigger. The upper open shelves will give a safe place for the placement of nightlights, humidifiers or other decorative items that are needed to be kept from the reach of baby or toddler. The lower shelves could be used for bedding or toys that will not cause harm should the child pull them off the shelf.
Dresser / Changer Unit
The dresser also in the white has a good height area for changing baby, that can be used to change baby from the end or the side and is sized to fit a standard changing mat. The two open shelves can be used for decorative items or the essentials required during nappy changes. Below the open shelves is a drawer providing extra storage space, away from little fingers although a drawer lock may be required when baby starts to get inquisitive.
Cotbed
The cotbed has solid panels to the head and foot, this makes it possible to sleep baby in the recommended ‘feet to foot’ position, this position helps to prevent the baby from wriggling under the covers and becoming overheated. To one side is a simple drop side, this makes changing the bedding and placing a sleeping child into the bed much easier on the adults back, especially when the base is in the lowest position for the toddler. Both sides are fitted with teething rails this will help to protect the cot sides from your child during the teething period. The mattress base can be fitted in a choice of 3 positions the higher is used for the young baby before they can move around, the middle is used when the child is turning over and sitting, once baby or toddler raises themselves to a standing position the base must be placed in the lowest position to prevent baby from climbing out of the cot. Once the toddler can escape from the cot with the base in the lowest position it is time to convert the cotbed into the junior bed, this will then allow the bed to be used until around the age of 6 years.
Gliding Crib
The Devon Collection has the option of a gliding crib finished to co-ordinate perfectly with the nursery collection. The baby crib is suitable from birth until around 5 months having a gentle gliding action to help to settle the young baby this can be set in a fixed position if not required. Solid panels at the head and foot end allow for baby to sleep ‘feet to foot’ as recommended by health visitors and midwives.
The crib size is 94cm long x 50cm wide x 95cm high.
