The basic plans for DadsGear were hatched in late 2003 when the founders, Scott Shoemaker and John Brosseau were out one evening and simply chatting in general terms. Conversation turned to their children and the job of being a parent. Each realised that they had ideas of how to make parenting a little easier – the germ of a company had been sown. We had both agreed that the changing bags available at the time were not aimed at the man in the family; they lacked style and were not of the quality we would have expected. After eighteen months, who knows how many ideas and prototypes DadGear became official. The concept behind DadsGear is to offer a male look, a rugged quality a statement that we are men and we are proud to be dads.
