Made from 100% cotton the cellular blanket has been the preferred choice of bedding for the newborn baby for many years, it is easy to adjust the temperature and heat can dissipate easily.
The blankets can be used folded in half with the newborn but then each blanket will count as two layers, keep this in mind when checking temperature, it is important not to overheat baby, also it is important to not allow baby to wriggle down under the covers we lose heat through our heads so if the head is covered overheating can happen quickly. The latest research has shows that the safest place to sleep baby is ‘feet to foot’ (putting baby at the bottom of the cot or crib) this will prevent baby from being able to go under the covers, another option is to use a cot divider this will reduce the cot length to keep baby safe.
