Cot Toys & Accessories
The first cot toys need to feature red, white and black in bold symmetrical patterns, as these are the first colours that baby can focus on, after the first few weeks baby will be able to focus better and will gradually be able to see more colours.
Musical mobiles will provide movement and motion for baby to focus on at sleep time and soft lullabies can help with the sleep time routine.
Cot Wedges
Baby wedges help to keep baby in the correct position as has been recommended by your midwife or health visitor these are made from foam and can be in the simple shape of a wedge or a cuddly toy.
Cat Nets
A cat net will fit completely over the cot or cotbed with large gauge netting, this will prevent your cat from settling in the cot - please do not take any chances, you could close the door but if the cat has managed to sneak in the risks are even higher.
Insect Nets
Insect nets are made of a very fine net and will completely cover the cot keeping all flying insects out.
Muslin
Using a muslin square under baby's head can help to cut down your washing load, this can easily be removed without the need to change the sheet.
