Britax Isofix Base For Infant Car Seat
Isofix base to allow the fitting of the Britax Cosy Tot Premium or Baby-Safe Plus SHR onto Isofix fittings in the car.
By fitting this Isofix base into your vehicle the Cosy Tot Premiumor Baby-Safe Plus SHR infant car seat can simply be place in and out of the car with a simple ‘click’, without the need to place seat belts around the seat.
The Isofix fittings can be found in many modern vehicles, they are a pair of hooks attached to the chassis of the car. They are not able to be retro fitted so it important to check that they are fitted before purchase (many handbooks refer to them but they may have been an optional extra at time of purchase). Attaching the base to these hooks is very simple with a simple ‘click’ in to position and a colour indicator showing when it has been successfully fitted. The base has an adjustable foot that drops to the floor to prevent the seat tilting during braking.
The base is Semi Universal so you will need to check the compatibility on www.britax.eu ‘Fit Finder’ or using our live help- you will need the make, model and year or the vehicles in which you wish to fit the base. If the base is not compatible with all cars the Cosy Tot Premium can be fitted using the 3-point adult seat belts.
Rear facing car seats should not be used with a passenger air bag unless the vehicle manufacturer confirms it is safe to do so.
