Buggies & Strollers

The baby buggy or stroller is defined as lightweight pushchair, folds small generally flat or as an umbrella style, it will be highly manoeuvrable with swivel front wheels, is often used as a second set of wheels to the main pram and possibly left in the car boot for those quick trips to the shops.

If you use public transport or you have a home with lots of steps you will find the features of a stroller will fit your requirements better than a bigger pram.

Lightweight Strollers

Make sure you chose a model with a reasonable number of recline positions and that the seat unit gives good support. There are many lightweight strollers available today at exceptionally cheap prices, but do check what you are getting for your money. Cheap doesn't always equate to value for money.

Look for the features that will benefit you and your child, look for a good handle height, there's nothing worse than trying to push a child in a buggy when you are bent double because the handles are too low.

It is also important to have reasonable calf support for your child. Some cheap buggies have shallow seat units that are terribly uncomfortable for the child in the seat. You may only initially purchase the buggy with a holiday in mind, but it may soon become the everyday vehicle of choice.
