The Medela Brest Milk Storage Bags are presterilised and are ready to use, if you were just needing to relieve a little pressure from overengorged breasts hand express the milk into a small sterile jug (thoroughly washed and submerged in cooled boiled water), from this you will easily be able to fill the bag, seal and date, then decide on where it needs to be stored.
If you are using a Medela breast pump the bags will fit directly onto the pump. The bags are made from a special plastic that retains the breastmilks beneficial properties, and have a double wall for long and safe storage and a leak proof zipper top.
