Within this section you will find an excellent range of CD's and DVD's offering help and advice for parents as well as sounds and music for the newborn baby and for the older child. Books cover information for you the parent, some factual and some light hearted as well as books to share with your toddler.

There is a great deal of help and advice available dealing with the art of relaxation - to help cope with pain during the birth of your baby - with music and hypnotherapy - the collection also includes a CD dealing with fast postnatal recovery.

You will find our DVD collection includes Understanding Childbirth, Antenatal Yoga, Childbirth Workout, Yoga for pregnancy & childbirth, Baby Yoga, Baby Yoga for toddlers, any of these could make a great baby shower gift.

Breastfeeding Without Tears could make a big difference to your approach to those first feeds with your newborn and the enthralling DVD by Dr Harvey Karp will actually show you the techniques of calming your baby using his 5 S's.

Baby's Books

Baby books start to entertain from around 3 months - with bold patterns in primary colours. Baby books are made from cloth or cardboard or may be plastic coated in the case of bath books. They often have attachments to secure them to the infant carrier or pram, photo albums give you the opportunity to makeup stories about people or animals familiar to your baby, the start of visual recognition.

Classical Baby Music

The range of music for babies has changed enormously in the last year, the CD collection Majors for Minors includes music to calm using 'pink sound' this is incredibly effective to all who listen (yes we've sampled it ) - please do not use in the car!!

This same collection also includes stimulating music that can be used as background music while playing it has been compiled to help the brain focus on tasks and has proved very successful, especially with children with concentration difficulties.

Personal CD's

Personal CD's with relaxing classical music for babies that include the baby's name throughout make a very special gift, these can be recorded for you individually if your baby has an unusual name.

The Silver Balloon personal CD is the best possible 1st or 2nd birthday present. The CD's include fun songs for you all to join in with as well as educational songs, again mentioning your child's name throughout, finishing with a story read by John Snow.
