The Bambino Mio Prefold nappy system is a twopart system making washing and drying a simple task.
Inner nappy
The inner nappy is a 3panel 100% cotton square, with extra layers in the central panel having 6 to 8 layers giving extra absorbency without adding bulk to the nappy.
The inner comes in two sizes to cover from new born to potty training the recommended quantity of inners is 24 small and 24 larger size. The squares can be washed up to 90 degrees although this is not necessary, if you soak the nappy squares in a nappy bucket in a nappy soak solution or in a solution containing natural tea tree, a rinse may be all that is required, they can then be tumble dried at full heat.
Outer wrap
The Bambino covers are made from soft cotton rich jersey fabric; the inside is a soft waterproof barrier that can easily be wiped clean. They have quick to use Velcro fasteners and are designed to fit a full range of body shapes with elasticated cuffs and at the back of the waistband giving a snug fit helping to prevent leaks.
The covers are machine washable and the set is supplied with 4 of the first size and 4 of each of the other sizes taking baby up to 15kgs
Using the nappies
The system is easy to use simply fold a cotton inner into thirds and place a flushable liner over the top, the liner will protect the cotton and collect solid waste making disposal easy as this can be flushed down the toilet. Lie the fabric inside a cover then sit or lie baby on the top lining up the Valcro tabs with the waistband.Fasten snugly around baby securing the tabs on either side.
When the nappy is due to be changed simply open the cover remove the soiled inner and replace with a clean one the cover is not required to be changed with every nappy change only when it becomes soiled.
The set is available with white covers or with assorted fun patterns.
