The Britax Baby-Safe Sleeper will give versatility to the way baby can travel; the carrycot can be used on the Vigour 3 +, Vigour 4+ or the Visio chassis to form a comfortable pram or travel system. The simple ‘click & go’ system means that the cot can be secured and released with just one hand. Arriving back at the car the Baby-Safe Sleeper cot can simply be fitted into the rear of the car without the need to disturb your sleeping baby. Baby will travel cocooned within the shell, secured into position with a 3 point harness similar to that found in a traditional baby car seat.
Health
With new evidence clearly pointing out the fact that babies health and development can be affected by extended periods in an up-right position,ie. in a traditional infant car seat, the Baby-Safe Sleeper gives parents an opportunity for baby to be transported in a natural flat position.
Safety
The Baby-Safe Sleeper conforms to all the safety requirement of a traditional upright infant car seat. The inside has been padded to ensure baby is not harmed by any impact with the side of the Baby-Safe Sleeper cot. When secured into the car the Baby-Safe Sleeper forms a roll cage around baby. The anchorage points are mounted high on each end this allows the cot movement during an extreme impact protecting baby’s delicate body from ‘G’ forces. The Baby-Safe Sleeper is suitable for baby from birth especially premature babies that are more at risk from an up-right position until a maximum weight of 10kg this is around 6 to 8 months while travelling by car, but can be used for longer as a carrycot.
Comfort
The Baby-Safe Sleeper cot has an adjustable ventilation system allowing you to have a good air flow through the cot during car travel with the option to close the vents during the winter months.
The interior of the Baby-Safe Sleeper can be easily removed for washing, rocking rails fitted to the bottom allow baby to be gently rocked to sleep, with a stabiliser bar for times when the rocking movement is not required. The retractable stylish hood can be stored neatly away when it not required and is silently locked into position when protection is needed from the sun, wind or street lights. A coloured fabric apron is included in a choice of colour to compliment the Vigour pushchair collection if you wish to use it as part of a travel system. When not in the car the adjustable backrest can be raised to allow baby to enjoy the surroundings, a mis-use preventor will ensure that it is in the correct position when the Baby-Safe Sleeper is secured in the car.
The Baby-Safe Sleeper has been approved for overnight sleeping so if you are travelling with a young baby the cot is fully versatile for daytime outings, car travel and overnight comfort within familiar surroundings.
