Philips Avent Baby Bottle Electric Steam Steriliser
Sterilise your baby’s bottles quickly and effectively with this Philips Avent electric steam steriliser.
This unit is a perfect starter kit for parents with a new baby. Easy to use, with a smart white shiny exterior, the steriliser will ensure that any harmful bacteria is safely removed from your baby’s bottles.
The kit includes two Avent bottle (sizes 260 ml and 125 ml) with teats and lids, two silicone orthodontic soothers suitable for newborns and a bottle brush.
The steriliser can hold up to six 260 ml Avent bottles at any one time. Just add a little water, load the bottles on to the specially designed rack inside the unit, put on the lid and switch the appliance on. A light will glow to show that the unit is in use. This will turn off when the sterilisation process is complete. The bottles will be ready to use in approximately 8 minutes.
You can sterilise the bottles and leave them inside the unit for up to 6 hours as long as the lid is not removed. The steriliser can also be used to sterilise up to two Philips Avent breast pumps and accessories.
Steam sterilisation has been shown to be a highly effective way to protect your baby from harmful germs. The intensive heat from the steam kills any unwelcome bacteria. Care should be taken when removing the bottles from the unit as hot steam will escape when you take the lid off, if doing so directly after the sterilising cycle has finished. Ideally, you should leave the unit to cool down before removing the bottles.
Professionals recommend that you sterilise your baby’s feeding bottles for the first 12 months of their life.
