Washable, Shaped Terry Towelling Nappy
A Scottish mum who felt that there must be a better solution to nappies than, all the complicated folds required from terry squares, designed the Tots Bots nappies. They come in 3 sizes to fit from birth to over 35lbs.The size1 Aplix nappy fits from birth to 18lbs then size 2 Aplix Tots Bots nappy is to be used from 18lbs (8.5kgs) to 40lbs (19kgs) the nappy is made from terry toweling that has been cut and shaped to fit the shape of a growing baby. With up to 5 layers of fabric in the places where the absorbency is most needed, a flap of foldable fabric to helps boost the absorbency.
Boosters made from a double layer of terry toweling are also available as an accessory these will be required as baby starts to sleep through the night and are available singly.
A wrap will be required with the nappy to keep the moisture contained within the nappy; these can be plain white or fun designs. Tots Bots also produce a fleece wrap that is particularly useful for very wet babies at night. These allow moisture to escape into the atmosphere similar to the natural wool wraps used many years ago, although the fleece version will need to be laundered daily. This Aplix nappy can be soaked or machine washed to a maximum temperature of 60 degrees and can be tumbled dried. A fold back tab will prevent the Aplix from attaching the nappies to each other while washing.
