Toilet Trainer & Potty Seats

You may find that the toilet trainer - a child sized toilet seat that fits over an existing toilet seat - is used for a number of years, so it is well worth investing in one that is a good fit to your toilet and is comfortable for your child to use.

Some of these trainers fit on top of your toilet seat others go directly on the pan then the seat is dropped down over it to secure it into position.

Integral Loo Seats

Another option is the Family Seat, this is a standard wooden toilet seat in a full range of colour finishes that has a toddler seat built in - when the toilet lid is lifted the little seat is ready for use and adults simply lift the little seat up into the lid when they wish to use the toilet.

Some potty chairs are designed with a toilet trainer part built in - this 'favourite' seat then goes onto the toilet with the remaining base becoming a step. This can be a good idea if your child dislikes change or new things.
